I'm looking at creating a 6mm army for Sci Fi battles. I'm familiar with 40k lore and would like some options besides 40k Epic for rules sets. Any suggestions? |

Are you ruling out other versions, like NetEpic Armageddon? |

Future War Commander. I played it with Epic figures: link |

I don't know if you count NetEpic as "40KEpic", but it's still a good, fun ruleset. I also second Laserstorm from Nordic Weasel – I am fond of its mechanics. Dirtside II is still around, and there are some fanmade ways to play it with dice instead of its iconic chit-draw system. Plasmablast just had a full release not too long ago, as did Full Spectrum Dominance. The Hellfire rules system is still getting support, and is even available on Amazon now. |

LaserStorm is indeed very good, and also Future War Commander. Other games to try: Hardwar, Strike Legion, Horizon Wars, Polyversal. |

I'm familiar with 40k lore and would like some options besides 40k Epic for rules sets. Ignore the 40K "lore". Just use the models. 😎 Regardless, I recommend Future War Commander and Strike Legion. I am also a fan of Unit Activation[like in E:A] vs. IGOUGO … |
