That choice can include a variety of options, such as casting Black, LGBTQ, and other underrepresented minorities in the series, promoting messages of inclusivity both on and off set as well as in the story

Well if they include Eldar they will include some of them.

If you are upset that the 40k setting is not representative of you or your background….you may need to see a therapist. Set your goals high and aspire to be an uber-spacenazi.

Pretty much the last thing I think of when I think '40K' is inclusivity. Apparently, whoever wrote this hasn't been paying attention to how various woke properties and corporations keep crashing and burning.

In my opinion, HBO's House of Dragons included diversity without clumsily shoehorning it in. Ring of Power's attempt felt forced and contrived.

Look forward to the new 40K venture. My
collection of the Imperium has different skin tones painted on miniatures and I have no issue if it's done with the new series (provided it's done in a manner that doesn't detract from the story itself).

Seems to me the whole 40K universe doesn't dwell on human diversity issues, so they can make it inclusive among humans all they want. But it better be all Kill the Xenos or I'm gonna be upset!

I don't care if they want to include women, minorities, homosexuals or any other diverse characters they want. My issue is when 40K stops being about 40K and becomes the story liberal Hollywood really wants to tell, then it stops being entertainment. Examples…

1. Two gay space marines falling in love.

2. The first female space marine in a marine chapter.

3. Racism in a marine chapter

4. Strong independent women showing how stupid their male counter parts are.

5. Caucasian males are all evil everyone else is good.

6. Coming out of the closet and changing the world for the better.

7. Caucasian males being saved continuously by "diverse" individuals.

8. How global warming created a hive world.

I could go on all day and night with examples. I want my entertainment to be about the mission, sacrifice, adventure, intrigue and carnage. Hollywood, please separate your agendas. If you want to make a movie about racism, homosexuality or global warming then do so. For the love of God quit saying this is an adventure story then doing a switch and bait when you think I am a captive audience and then smile to yourselves about how witty and smart you are. I am not captive, and I can vote with my time and dollars.

You want strong women then have some female sanctioned psykers, inquisitors or sisters of battle.

You want LGQBT don't dwell on it. Just imply the characters sexual orientation move on and tell the story.

Minorities yes include them often this is 40K scifi future.

Sorry, everyone I had to rant!

I hope to God the first episode starts off with Cavill leading a squad of space marines in a prayer to the Emperor as their boarding torpedo hurtles through space towards an enemy ship. Then they do a forlorn hope with bolters, chain swords and power fists. The carnage is over the top with blood, gore and death screams.

An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded.

Blessed is the mind too small for doubt.

"Minorities" means Europeans. There are a lot more "Asian" folks than "European" folks on Earth.

I do love when people who get angry when the topic of normative assumptions comes up show exactly how messed up their assumptions of "normal" are.

@Emckinney I was never referring to all of earth, but I do love how there is always one smug individual who will create a strawman argument, pat himself on the back and get self-righteous.

I try never to think about 40K at all.
