Can't get into the message boards this morning. AVG blocks it as infected with phishing. Lounge seems okay , as does everything else. Just the message board.
Anyone else getting this?

(Sent on my mobile phone app)…

Not having any problems.

You need to provide more information. Unfortunately, it is unlikely your browser or security sw is going to tell you anything useful.

Same thing happening with me. TMP only works on mobile devices

Virus protection (Avast) prevents a connection as it says TMP is infected with URL:Phishing.

Working fine for me in Chrome, Firefox and Microsoft Edge. Using McAfee.

Need more info from you guys to debug this one.

I checked the AVG website, and see no method for contacting them regarding this problem.

I'm using Edge and am still getting blocked.

Detected by Web Shield / connection aborted

What else do you need?

Does it provide an error message or have a link to something like a "logfile"? That would give the specifics of what is going on.

Most likely the security software with its default settings is incapable of handling a plain http connection.

One of our readers sent me an Avast screenshot.

It claims there is a problem at TMP link on the forum.

I checked the page. McAfee shows no problems. The only links on the page are internal TMP links, and a blogspot link (and associated pictures),

Working good for me.

Edge works fine here. Web Shield sounds like you have Avast. This is an Avast error, as far as I can tell.

I dumped Avast for this very reason. They'd run an update and suddenly software I used every day was listed as having a virus or sites I went to every day were giving me warnings or not working properly- then like magic a new update appeared and all the issues disappeared- until it happened again when a new update arrived. I am having no issues logging in today on any device.

It's not incumbent on us to inform our AV providers that there's an incompatibility issue, it's down to the site admins to sort the false flag that's causing the problem.

Kaspersky, Avast and Bitdefender are
flagging issues with this site on mobile and static devices, and so is my company's bespoke AV.

Sure … as soon as they provide all their proprietary code, algorithms, and data for free. And a bunch of labor.

So, exactly what is the basis for a site owner to be required to debug someone else's software?

I have been having the same problem using AVAST – went to their icon on desktop, under help it said how to make a site an exception, so it took about 1 minute to list theminiaturespage as an exception I wanted, now it's fine.

We don't read minds. The flagged webpage we examined was harmless.

I have AVG and I also am getting the site blocked due to phasing. Is it because there is no s at the end of http?

Using my phone.

reading this it sounds like not having an SSL certificate is the issue.

Robert Johnson21 Dec 2022 10:19 p.m. PST

I'm not much bothered either way, I can still access the site. Others may not be able to, but that's not my problem.

I shan't bother reporting any glitches in future. Have a nice day 🌞

Yeah. I also the certificate may be the problem.

Thanks

John

Is it because there is no s at the end of http?

Apparently not, because AVG is flagging certain webpages but not all webpages at TMP.

John Leahy Sponsoring Member of TMP23 Dec 2022 8:30 a.m. PST

I added TMP as an exception to Avg. Still same issue. This is also an issue with Avast I believe. I just want to be able to read and post. Everything in the forums is blocked.

Thanks

John
