When will Americans learn to speak of Great Britain or the United Kingdom, not England? They would not call Texans "Yankees"… I am a proud Englishman, by the way, not some outraged Celt, but I am first and foremost British!

There is a tremendous difference between a slang epithet, that the user might or might not know is inaccurate, used in loose speech, and a supposedly learned article published at the USNI…
