Hi!
After reading the Osprey book on the Middle guard and young guard, it mentioned that they didnt carry eagles, but still had fanions, though there arent many pics or descriptions of the fanion for the Fusilier-Grenadiers apart from the mention that it is blue

are there an visual examples of this fanion?
and was it carried by each company or just the battalion? and although there were no eagles, was the French flag present at all?

The battalion fanions were normal sized flags. The company fanions were smalled, attached to a wooden staff that fit in the barrel of the musket.

Rigo has depicted French fanions in some of his artwork. JOB also has depicted a few.

I don't doubt that the Middle Guard and Young Guard used battalion fanions and I do doubt that they were not 'decorated' with unit emblems, which defeated Napoleon's purpose in instroducing plain fanions.

I used the fanion designs here tmg110.tripod.com/frarmy2.htm

But I'm no expert on napoleonic flags, no doubt someone can say if they are a decent option.

The website looks good to me. How accurate it is should be the subject of research.

For the use of toy and model armies, it is excellent.
