Are David Johnson's "The French Cavalry 1792 – 1815' and/or ‘Napoleon's Cavalry and its Leaders' the same book with different titles or editions? Or are they two separate books? Thanks. |

Is one better than the other, or some different info or focus between each title? Best regards. |

They are two different books and both are worth having. I have had them both for years. |

Both are truly excellent, really great reads and ideal for giving you not just the statistics and the TO&E type information but the real stories and legends, the atmosphere, the flavour of the French mounted arm through the period. They contain different information with some overlap. If you could only afford to buy one I'd take "Napoleon's Cavalry and its Leaders". |

If you are interested in Napoleonic cavalry, you simply cannot live unless you own both. I have read each one at least three times. Tom |
