guys memory bit hazy so a question the later models of the bmp-1 carried a tube launched at4/5 which could be used dismounted away from the vehicle cant remember about the earlier model with the at-3 mounted over the gun barrel (it carried spare missiles on rails no reference to a separate ground control panel.) so could the at-3 be used away from the vehicle on a separate ground mount? |

No sir. The AT-3 Sagger was used on the 73mm main gun rail mount. The vehicle did not have a separate ground mount as "The suitcase saggers" were used by the AT PLT of a MRB. |

Makes sense to NOT be dismountable given their doctrine of advancing quickly to over-run enemy defences. |
