I moved in June. I moved into a better home with more room. Moving everything I have showed me a lot about who I am. I am a completionist. I get fixated on a particulat army and simply need to have everything in that scale. I am also done. I know, I know, done is so final…. but I really have no other collecting interest. I came to realise I cannot possible play with all I have. I am 51 years old. I want to play more often, bit I will miss the solitary part of the hobby. What do I do now, when I have three hours before bed? I used to prep or paint. I am about six months out from finishing everything. I did not buy anything at the last Convention. I have not had an order in since about July. What the hell do I do now?

As you said, play more games. Plan a campaign. Just don't read any more history 'cause you'll probably discover a new army you need!

Become a figure painter.

Buy stuff cheap at a flea market. Spruce it up and sell it. You won't make money, but you won't lose money, and it gives you something to prep and paint.

Mostly what I do these days.

1 vote against painting for any reason other than furtherance of a personal project. There is nothing more guaranteed to get you to despise doing anything than "having" to do it.

Whoever it is. Whatever the reason. Whenever ths deadline. Whatever the inducement. Don't.

Wait for the muse to tickle your ear. Odds are, she will.

I'd read and watch movies. If you have the space, set up some games and play a little each night.

Once you are done with the minis, you have to build lots of terrain… evil grin

Try sculpting some minis.

Get an Xbox One X and play Forza Horizon (any version) every night and race your butt off, custom paint cars, and create racing mayhem! Oh wait…that's what I do. (I actually do do that.) grin
