As a cav cmdr you might appreciate this. We've all seen the Gettysburg movie scene where Lee "discusses" Stuart's perceived lapses upon arriving. "I have brought you 400 wagons."
"They are an impediment to me now." I wish Stuart had had the brass to sit mounted next to Lee, as the wounded from the 3rd day rolled past in those wagons, just lean over and ask. "How do you like my wagons, now,…sir?" |

I play royalists and rebels with equal zeal, but I tend to limit my wargaming of fiction to "what if" scenarios, and pre-dreadnoughts. I also own and play no period after 1945, except for occasional forays into jet fighter combat in Korea 1950-53. - Ix PS: I own a ton of Ogre Miniatures stuff, which cannot be reconciled with my historicals-only attitude. <shrug> Everyone has at least one eccentricity. |
