Big Shout Out to all the folks at Wargames Association of Reading for a great day out yesterday!
First time at the Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre, after a brief stop at Ascot Racecourse last year and a real success!
Well attended and a great tribute the obvious amount of effort put into the event. Lots of smiling Traders which must prove something!
Excellent venue, easy access and parking. Friendly atmosphere and some great games on view. (Apologies no pictures but I'm sure some will appear in due course.)
Venue wise, I guess I would have to say it was kind of, Son/Daughter of Salute, even if that provokes negative connotations among some people. Perhaps it would be better to say, Salute on a human scale! A hundred times better than having your assets frozen at Ascot in 2021.
Delighted to say the venue has already been booked for next year (same location but different part of the Centre, I understand).
Really made me wonder if having Colours and Warfare jointly on the same site, could be a West of London complement to the East of London setting of Salute!
Haven't enjoyed a show as much for a long time!
