That's a take on "blues". Had my 2nd knee replaced on November 1. Recovery is a long grueling process and recovery involves a lot of sitting – a LOT of sitting with leg elevated, etc. – two – three weeks worth. So…. been working through my backlog. Production is great! Built: 1 Cygnar jack 1 Khador Jack 1 Khador colossal 5 Ogrun Mercenaries 6 Rhulic Mercenaries 1 Iron Fang unit 1 Trollkin unit 1 Trollkin thumper 1 Mantic Ork Maruader vehicle Assembled close to 300 Victrix Punic ancients and a Napoleonic Battery 3 1/100 choppers a 1/200 Bear 1 Gundam 1/700 Fuso 1935 1/700 Musashi 1/700 Ajax 1/700 Dorsetshire 1/700 Miami 1/700 E class destroyer And probably some things I forgot. Memory is a little fuzzy until the pain killers run out. :) Still stuff left on the stack though, so glue ho! |

Sorry to hear about the knee replacement surgery. I hope that turns out well for you. Great to hear at least you are being very productive though, since that is a nice bonus. Get well soon. |

Thought for a moment that you were using PMMA (which is used to fix knee replacement components in place) as a glue…. Good job not, as it takes 10 minutes to set, with an interesting smell, and wouldn't really stick figures together very successfully! Congrats on using your recovery time so well, don't forget the physio and hope you recover quickly |

I was going to recommend E600, which seems to retain some flexibility. But if you're not gluing the actual joint, zap-a-gap should work. |

You did better than I did! Had my knee done in August and all I managed were 12 28mm Chinese cavalry for the Boxer Rebellion and half-completed 12 28mm French SYW cavalry and a horde of 6mm Austrian Napoleonic cuirassiers Hope your recovery goes well – the key is sticking to the physioterrorist regimen |

Yes, you also did far better than I did. My knee was replaced February 2021 and I did not even pick up a paint brush until Late April. Part of the issue was (due to a DVT incident in December 2020) I was not allow to get the knee glued in. Good news and bad news – I got a lifetime warranty on the replacement, on the other side was it required the bone to grow in to hold it in place causing considerably more pain. Zombie time for me. All is good now. Keep up the PT and get walking. I went from 275 pounds before the surgery to 212 now. |

Thanks for the comments. My knees were not glued in but would rather screw them to the bone. Total replacement on both of them with tungsten screwed in and a little pad screwed into the bottom of the kneecap. Anyway 10 days out on each one and I started hobbling around and I'm walking pretty reasonable now. Short distances in for a short time, but I can get around the house OK. And this one, I'm taking stairs a little earlier than the other one. |

Best wishes for a complete recovery. My visit to the knee guy indicated knee replacement was not recommended except as a last resort. Tylenol and Voltaren will do until then. |
