I'm not an expert and would love for someone to correct me but aren't the canards going to increase the radar signature of the J20 when they're used to maneuver? Unless the radar absorbent material is phenomenal? |

The J-20 isn't really stealthy like US aircraft, so not sure it will make much difference. Good to know our future overlords are still funding "advanced" military projects like this. Apparently, they're all in on creating new nuke weaponry too, while our upgrades/developments are languishing, according to one of our head guys in the military on that subject. I wonder if we can get a national group purchase deal from Babbel on one of the Chinese dialects? |

I do not worry about a Chinese takeover, but don't take them for granted. We have some work to do, but it will be decades, for example, before their navy reaches competitive status, given our building programs underway. Nor do they have Tom Cruise flying for them. They don't have woke training, too busy spending 40% of their time on political indoctrination training in the military. Considering they have zero combat experience, this would seem to be a mistake. Of course everyone assumes everything is going great in China and they never run into other issues in running their country. Meanwhile America is a shell of its former self based on which political views people hold and which party is in power. Somewhere there is an objective reality in all this, politicians and phony media outlets aside. |

Some Indian news website popped up in my feed with a picture purporting to be the J-20 spewing smoke from its engines. So may they still need work. (Indian news sites are weird mix of anti-China and subtle Putin-stroking). |
