… Fallout

"Russia announced Wednesday that it views Norway's work with other countries in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization as provocative, warning that Norway's efforts to bolster its military in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine this year will likely be the death knell for Oslo-Moscow relations moving forward.

"Oslo is now among the most active supporters of NATO's involvement in the Arctic," Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said Wednesday, according to TASS. "We consider such developments near Russian borders as Oslo's deliberate pursuit of a destructive course toward escalation of tensions in the Euro-Arctic region and the final destruction of Russian-Norwegian relations."…"

It would be heartwarming for all the heads of state of NATO members to simultaneously hold press conferences and in all the relevant tongues tell Putin to Bleeped text.

And if Putin decides to sever ties, they're willing to help his embassies pack.

Russia should just shut up. UK has always been strong supporter of Norway… any s**t… WE WILL back Norway up.
We don't have much… but Russia would NOT like what WE DO have.

Yes, you are doing soooo well in Ukraine, so why not threaten another country with your all-powerful military. A nation that is part of NATO. Putin is really starting to lose it.

Russian bs for internal consumption to calm the crazy clowns like Kadyrov(Putin's SS), Prigozhin(Wagner Group), Patrushev(FSB) etc.

Not Shoigu(Putins scapegoat), the Russian military doesn't exist as an internal power faction.
It probably has not existed in the Russian Reich as an internal power faction since they shot Beria.
The spooks never forgot that one.

Some of their cronies with weird hobbies got busted.
Russian Drone Tourism – On TMP
Il patrono Putin puffs up his chest, that's all.
Nothing happens.

Would someone have flown nuclear bombers with live weapons along the eastern NATO border in early February to show off no Russian soldier would have entered Ukrainian soil ever.
Afterwards you always know better.

I wonder when this all finally falls apart if Finland will get it territories back.

Norway still sends a christmas tree each year which takes pride of place in Trafalgar square. As thanks for our support in ww2.
Pretty sure we're not going to just stand by and watch another dictator mess with them

Putin at this point is in no position to threat anyone. Save for Russian civilians who don't do what he says.

Back in mid 80s there were 3 short novels by Collin Wingate…Submarine, Frigate, Carrier. Premise was Russian attack on Norway… leading to naval war. Good read… (not entirely factual!), but books probably disintegrating by now!
UK attitude unchanged. F Off Russia!

Plus… now Friends with Estonia…etc.!

Norway has these:

Best not to mess with them… ;-)

Yep, and whatabout Königsberg, for some strange reasons called Kaliningrad by some?
It's Teutonic since 1230.
Before that some Vikings used to roam there on vacation.
So, we, zhe Germans that is, reclaim it.
Of course in the name of our EU/NATO Overlords as those hideous Russkies will put it.
We always like to coordinate with our partners, ya know.
And we will of course hold referenda after we kicked out the Russian STALINAZI invaders of Königsberg, a deeply European city long before the Europian Union.

Kant, would have agreed, because it is practically and theoretically reasonable.
He still knew what's right and wrong.

And the Norwegians will agree, too.
Because, well they're Vikings aren't they?

Seconding the "shut up Russia" banner. This has reached the point of being laughable. Akin to a cow promising revenge.

A major newspaper needs a headline, "Russia, SHUT IT"

Well, that saves some work.
We simply claim the Czech Republic as Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, call it Eastern Ostrich to distinguish it from Austria and Australia and get Königsberg for free.
France, Italy and the UK will probably agree for the sake of peace and harmony
Czechian Christmas trees aren't that popular there as those from Norway.
