Not sure about that. The german army use the 20mm Maschinenkanone till today (Marder APC). It is based at the Becker-Kanone (1914), a weapon designed for planes. The later guns got installed in light tanks, armoured cars and later APCs. Usefull against enemy flyer and foot troops. For heavy armoured tanks you just need something different. |
