Did all the officers in Zoave regiments wear standard attire as opposed to the zoave uniform? I haven't found any examples so far. |

Lots of variation, skedaddle. There are some contemporary photos here: link If by "Zouave uniform" you mean turban, I've never seen it. But you can find plenty of Zouave officers in red kepis and/or baggy trousers--sometimes red--and once or twice I've seen one in Zouave Jacket. |

As noted, pretty much free form, but I would agree, mostly seems like red kepis and baggy red trousers – no turbans |

Officers bought their own uniforms, so there was a lot of variation. |

There are some drawings of Zouave officers in the Osprey ACW zouaves book. Tiger Rifle officers wore all navy blue. They looked just like a union officer. |

All the pictures I*'ve ever seen show the officers in standard ACW-type officers' uniforms, but often with red kepi and red trousers (no more baggy than other ACW officers). I'm guessing, but don't know, that the original zouave regiments of the French Army had native (North African) enlisted men but French officers, which would account for the difference in style. |

When in doubt put them in the standard Army uniform. |
