Do you decorate your bases as a motivation for painting, to make them appear as if they are closer to being table-ready?

80% said "No, I do not, I decorate the bases as one of the (F)inal steps before they are table ready."

9% said "I (D)on't decorate my bases."

4% said "I decorate the bases as the (M)ood strikes me, at any point in the painting process."

Decorate bases?
Oh! Like glue figures on them!😳

I like to gussy up my bases, especially for characters. It also helps define the army: Space Wolves/ Vikings get a snow theme and Necrons / NKE get a Sandy desert.

The key it not to overdo things and detract from the miniature.

I agree with the 80% , it's one of the final steps

I also like a bit of flair to my bases, but try not to overdo it
