Okay, Agregory's post about his Quiberon Bay game, got me doing some additional research on the Vendee rising. Part of that research involved watching episode 4 of the BBC Hornblower series. I'm having trouble justifying painting troops as the Royalists were pictured, in white coats and tan trousers. I wonder, would Charette have had access to old white uniform coats? |

the strongest unit came from the former Régiment Royal-Louis merged into Régiment d'Hervilly (red british uniform) still clothed in the traditionnal white of Royal-Louis
