I like to start with a Reaper Bones monster miniature when I'm getting back to painting. They're not pricy enough for me to worry about doing a perfect job. And it's not like a fantasy monster is going to be on the table for long. This is a way I can get used to holding a brush again before moving on to other things.

Of course, sometimes things don't go according to plan. This one took a little more time and effort than I was planning on. But things worked out in the end.
