For the past several weeks I have been making a copy of the Nile River paddle wheel boat that I purchased in September 2022. My version is not an exact copy, but I used elements of the first boat to teach me how to make various bits and pieces. The boat still needs its paddle wheel – I've been saving its construction for last due to its difficulty.

Take a trip to my blog to see more pictures and tips on how I made things.

Last year this time I was beginning my Nile river fleet in 28mm. So good luck with those damnable paddle wheels. UGHHHHH H PS> Handsome boat

Looks great! Years ago I purchased a beautiful China Service boat form the late, great Richard Houston. It was suppose to be for 25mm. But all my 25mm figures were two big for it. It was great for 20mm. Then I started collecting 28mm figures and they certainly didn't fit. So I sold it. Ever since then I have been a little weary of buying another one. Building your own is a good way to go, so you know it's the right scale for your figures.

RE: paddle wheel issue. For my kit bash, I did side wheels that were fully enclosed. I used a cut down shaving cream top as the base for the covers.

I have used the Lindbergh with RalPartha figures and it look fine to me (and I'm quite a scale bigot).

I used steel washers on the trimmed down bases and added some magnets under the deck. Once placed, the figures do not move.

Looks great, and I like the protective panels idea, congrats!

I used a TP cardboard center roll and placed wood planks across it for the paddles. A very NICE piece of work by the way.
