I've finally got around to completing two small fleets for Imperial Skies. I'm probably not going to be springing for adjustable flight stands and I'm mistrustful of the stability generally of standard plastic hex flying stands. I'm considering just mounting on a plain flat acrylic hex probably with magnets in case I change my mind and using a mat rather than '3D terrain'. There aren't any other players locally so matching other people's collections isn't an issue. If I get into the altitude rules tokens will handle it. Any Imperial Skies or aeronef players with other suggestions? |

I wonder if some stands from the Plastic Soldier Company in UK from their Red Alert spaceships game would do? They're 5cm by 2.5cm rectangular bases (2 inch by 1 inch in old money) and use 2 pegs either 2cm or 4cm long. Check here: link |

I do have some of those in-stock so to speak and I'm currently finishing up some Red Alert ships. A quick check and a large Red Alert ship is roughly the same length as one of Brigade's bigger aeronef battleships. Would work – good idea. Should have mentioned I'm using Brigade miniatures – not there are many other choices! |
