What paints did you use for the yellow jackets?

Charge The Guns06 Oct 2022 3:26 a.m. PST

Hi Jim, it was a prime of dark brown, two thin coats of Citadel Averland Sunset, warm dark wash, highlight with Averland again, final highlight with Vallejo Light Yellow. 👍

Those are really good! Doubly good because it's so yellow (my yellow's never come out that mello).

Outstanding job. My yellows…well, we're not going to talk about how my yellows turn out.

Musket Miniatures used to have a great paint that they called "cavalry yellow" (if I recall correctly) that was a muted yellow.

Great work! I find yellow pretty difficult to do well.

Charge The Guns,

What rules are you using?

Charge The Guns06 Oct 2022 11:13 p.m. PST

Cheers 👍.

@Oberlindes – I did for a long time, but this recipe is working for me now.

@Old Contemptible – mainly Pike & Shotte (from Warlrod Games). I also really like For King & Parliament (Simon Miller), and want to try more of Twilight of Divine Right (P&S Society/Nick Dorrell). There are actually a lot of rules in my to try pile! See here:
