So are you ready to trash your current collection so you can start over again with 10th edition? |
Deucey | 03 Oct 2022 5:19 a.m. PST |
If it's a new system that's beginner friendly and doesn't require a multitude of confusing purchases, yes. |

I'll probably just wait for the 12th Edition since I still enjoy 8th. It's like owning an iPhone. You know a new edition is always around the corner, so just pick your cadence. I figure every 4 editions likely works for me. |

Yes! Ready for a fresh start like 8th was |

Switched to One Page Rules and never looked back |

I'd like to get into it, but it's intimidating. I had (still have) 3rd Edition. |

I think I started with 4th. Then I found TwoHourWargames, which are designed for solo play and better fit my play style and perception of reality. |

All ready bought, thrown out, and waiting for 11th. |

I've never had to trash a collection for a new edition. Add or subtract models and units, sure. GW hasn't changed since the 90's and if you chase the meta you already know the deal you've made with the devil. I have fun with the "Boxed Games": Kill Team, Warcry, Oh and Horus Heresy |

After many years that impulse was found to be a GDW bore worm and I had it removed. I have saved so much money since. |

Gave up on GW 12+ years ago. Started in RT and 2nd ed War$ Fantasy. |

Excluding Kill Team and Space Hulk, the last time I played 40k outright was 3rd edition. Everything made over the last 20 years seems exceptionally complicated and overly expensive to play. I'd love a beginner friendly version to get into. |

Bah! 95th Edition will be the best! |

Unless you are looking for pick up games or event games with strangers, there is nothing to keep you form using your favorite edition of the rules (as longa s you still have them). The last main 40k rules edition I enjoyed playing, and played regularly was 3rd or early 4th. |

I like it when old products are getting useless due to new codices or rule editions. I can buy them much cheaper then and use them with grimdark future. |

I am not so much interested in XXth rule edition as I am in the miniatures. |

Another vote for 3rd Edition which gets quite a few mentions. I love the models but happy to use other generic rules. My club is getting excited about Xeno Rampant. I also like the one hour skirmish rules set and the accompanying sci-Fi skirmish scenarios book. The one page rules are also good. |
