A very interesting video came out. The video involves a close quarters tank battle between Russian and Ukrainian tanks. The video appears to be something straight out of a movie or a videogame. RedEffect on YouTube: youtu.be/HGZfD1csuVA |

I have always disliked Team Yankee as it always seems to end up with sides 6" apart which seemed unrealistic. Perhaps I was wrong! |

The commentary about the truly terrible visibility from T-64 is striking. |

I'm not a modern armor enthusiast but I simply assumed any modern field army would make use of thermals. I assumed wrong. |

If they have them and they are functioning, or they may use something similar ? |

The Russians also had a drone – the Russian commander may have been micromanaging his AFVs. There is a video of the Ukrainians doing this. Druzhina Illustrations of Costume & Soldiers

close-quarters 1945-style: Pershing KO of Panther in front of the Cologne cathedral. Also caught on film. History repeats itself … with distressing regularity it seems. B |

The commentary about the truly terrible visibility from T-64 is striking. Not to mention the 4mph speed in reverse. The Ukrainian tank needed supporting infantry on hand. |

The Ukrainian tank needed supporting infantry on hand. In most cases that is a standard. But of course, they may not be available for a number of reasons. I know as a former Infantryman … at times we would have like tank support on any FTX, etc.. But again, it was always not around. |
