Great work – thanks for sharing!

And the US Army did at one point use pointing down chevrons – just changed them in 1902; I had the opposite problem when I started painting Union ACW troops!

I don't know why everyone always paints WW2 GIs with dark green trousers- I suspect it's trying to be the HBT fatigues that some troops did wear in combat, but certainly not all, and probably a minority. They really should be the wool mustard brown.
