"Russian state TV claims Ukrainians are selling US-donated weapons on the dark web. The BBC investigated one such marketplace, spoke undercover to those apparently selling weapons, and gathered evidence that suggests the adverts for weapons are fake."

"We found several sellers on the same marketplace mentioned by Russian state media outlets. They said they were selling Nato weapons, and their geolocation was Kyiv. However, the name of Ukraine's capital was misspelled in Ukrainian.

This was not the only inconsistency."

"Another seller called "Big Discounts On Weapons", claiming to sell US-made Javelins and drones recently provided to Ukraine by its Nato allies, was more inventive.

The vendor photoshopped several old pictures – including ones of damaged drones – to make them look as if they were taken directly by him, and added the name of the marketplace."

I trust very little about Putin and his "Russians" … The fact that the Ukrainians with the US/NATO, etc. support the Russians will be made less of the threat to the region. Much of that region is in NATO now. Clipping of wings of Putin and his ilk is a worthy objective. Of course, we will never really get rid of the nuclear threat they pose.

This has been a major talking point on bothe the right (Fox News and anti-Ukraine members of Congress) and on the tankie left (Noam Chimney and we're beyond progressive types). Some of the stories made it into other media and I've seen it on TMP.

Some people long saw Putin as the savior of Christianity and civilization--some of them still believes "Ukrainian corruption resells advanced U.S. arms" stories months after they were debunked.

Keep in mind that most Russian propaganda is NOT directed at us. It's for internal consumption and for the use of black propaganda in friendly nations and their newspapers to for Russian paid journalists to publish.

For us, it's an opportunity to laugh.

Yes, that is SOP for Russia as well as the PRC/CCP … They have to keep feeding their population lies, etc. to continue to control them. And those nation are not the only ones.

Clowns such as this pop up now and then everywhere even in the US.
And they are in all walks of life, even many in leadership positions, the media, entertainment, down to the lowest income individuals.

At the lowest level they prey on the poor, at the other extreme they prey on the nation.
