Russian state TV claims Ukrainians are selling US-donated weapons on the dark web. The BBC investigated one such marketplace, spoke undercover to those apparently selling weapons, and gathered evidence that suggests the adverts for weapons are fake. bbc.com/news/world-62983444 |

There is always a certain amount of leakage in any government program. And military programs that involve active combat it is easy for a few items to disappear here and there. Or they get captured and the capturing nation or soldiers sell the times. If you want US weapons go to Vietnam or Afghanistan they have a few they will likely sell you. Mike Bunkermeister Creek |

There were a few articles circulating earlier suggesting that the stories about US weapons on the dark web were fake, but this is the most thorough take down I've seen. |

I would think they'd be more useful used than sold at this point. Also note even when the war is "over", the Ukraine will still have to defend itself from a future Russian threat. |

We will have to wait and see. But there still are millions missing from our wars in Iraq and A'stan … |

"It is naive to think there is not massive fraud in one of the, if not the most corrupt, countries in Europe." Not a jot compared to the corruption of the Russian Army. Druzhina Illustrations of Costume & Soldiers

Good point … the Russia Army is a mess in so many ways. |

…but "corruption" ala diverting arms and supplies from frontline combat units is not something I have seen any evidence of. see TMP link |

diverting arms and supplies from frontline combat units is not something I have seen any evidence of. Their marginal at best performance in combat demonstrates, regardless a military force of little capabilities. If they were supplied this makes it that much worse. However, as we saw they do very poorly with Log support too. |

Mostly pre-invasion when the opportunities were greater, Russian officers sold the petrol for their unit, the plates from vests, food and anything else that was not nailed down. Budgets were misappropriated on a massive scale. Officials take bribes for everything from draft dodging to major contracts. Druzhina Illustrations of Costume & Soldiers
