Incidentally, the F35 lost on take off from RN carrier a while back, had an air intake cover left in place. Oops! |

I've seen a YouTube analysis thar suggested the wingtip clipped. The jet that crashed was shown with several feet of wing canted down 90°. It didn't look like it was enough to have compromised the aileron, but maybe control of it was lost. |
