It will take a long time to rebuild the Russian army. It has nothing to build on. They will have to start from scratch. But, if they do not eradicate corruption, change the way they treat people and completely change their way of thinking from the bottom it will still be a army. |

The Russian Army has lost too many assets in the current conflict. They have performed poorly overall. They will have to "pull themselves up by their boot straps" … if they even have any of those left. And start back from the bottom. |

The Oryx estimate is that 9% of Russia's equipment losses have occurred since the start of the Kharkhiv oblast offensive. An estimate I consider not completely out of bounds is that Russia has lost as many tanks as were in the original invasion force (Russia and proxy), and as many IFVs as were in the original invasion force, and killed + wounded is in the vicinity of the strength of the invasion force. Many of the wounded would have returned to duty by now. |
