I am thinking of building a 20mm Sudan War collection, I am starting with Massimo Costa's sculpts, he does Camel Corps, Highlanders and Mahdists, I am also interested in the Newline range, they do quite a few infantry and cavalry for this period. Aside from these two companies, does anyone know of other companies that produce metal figures for this period in 20mm, am curious, thanks in advance for any advice. |

I found out about them a short time after I posed the question via an internet search, but thanks regardless, I appreciate it. |

I have been using plastics in 20mm for the Sudan – there is a good range – I am mixing mainly plastic tribesmen with metal British from Newline Designs. See link for reviews of plastics. |

I think The Dayton Painting Consortium has a small line of 20mm Colonials. Nicely priced but I've never seen them. |

Thanks for the suggestions, I had heard about the RSM 20mm figures as well. |

I got samples of the RSM figures. Absolutely beautiful figures. Too bad the ranges are so limited in poses. They are true 20mm. They will mix with Newline but not with the 1/72 plastics. |

Those are Massimo Costa's 42nd Black Watch figures, they are spectacular, will be getting quite a few of them, he also does dismounted camel corps too,. |

You can't go wrong supplementing 20mm with 72s. ESCI's Muslim Warriors and Brits, Waterloo, HAT all have fine figs. RedBox is kind of scary, but serviceable. HAT's camel riders, which came out a few years ago, are particularly useful. (Still waiting for their baggage camels to be available) I also have quite a few classic Ral Partha true 25mms serving duty. A bit bigger, but nice stuff. Boy, those were the good old days. link |

Thanks for the advice……..not a fan of plastics. At all. I'm going with Massimo's sculpts for Camel Corps, Highlanders and Mahdists, Newline Design and Jacklex, a nice mix all about the same size. I decided I am 100% in. |
