So I have about 20 old RalPartha Gnolls with the separate heads. Excellent figures. I wanted to make the majority with spears. Looked around at what others have done and most use pounded out brass rods. I came up with a slightly different solution. First I used steel rods. Using my dremel with a sanding wheel, I shaved down both sides of the spear point. The next step was to get some aluminum tubing that just fit the steel rod. I cut the tube about 3-4mm long and fit it to the steel rod at the base of the spearhead. Added super glue and cleaned up with a file the next day. |

Excellent idea. Are you able to post pictures of the work in progress, and a final completed shot? |
