"BBC Two has released a trailer for Emily Blunt's western six episode series THE ENGLISH announcing November 10th as the airing date. Also starring Rafe Spall, Tom Hughes, Stephen Rea and Ciaran Hinds, it takes the core themes of identity and revenge to tell a uniquely compelling parable on race, love and power. An aristocratic Englishwoman, Lady Cornelia Locke (Emily Blunt) and a Pawnee ex-cavalry scout, Eli Whipp (Chaske Spencer) come together in 1890 mid-America to cross a violent landscape built on dreams and blood. The series will first visit Mipcom at Cannes with the lead cast later this October. It will also air on Prime Video around the world."

Not quite sure whether it's meant to be taken seriously or is an OTT fantasy shoot 'em up – I'm pretty sure that was a gatling gun strappd on to a horse towards the end so presumably the latter.

I liked her better as a cartel-fighting, chain smoking FBI agent.

I actually liked it. There were things which grated like a US cavalryman using an 1860 Colt Army in 1890 or the previously mentioned Gatling which apparently the army didn't want back. But it was no more far fetched than many other Westerns.
