Tremble and despair, ye foes of America!

U.S. Forces Ordered to Stop Using Gender Pronouns to Improve ‘Lethality'

Pacific Air Force base bans references to gender, age, and race

A division of the U.S. Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), the branch tasked with confronting China, has ordered its senior leaders and commanders to stop using gender pronouns in written formats, saying the shift to more neutral language will help improve the fighting force's "lethality."

"In accordance with the Diverse PACAF priority, ‘We must embrace, promote and unleash the potential of diversity and inclusion," states a May email sent to senior leaders and commanders at the Andersen Air Force Base in Guam, which operates under the Pacific Air Forces…

It really is getting a little embarrassing … And how will this make us more "lethal" ? Talk about drinking the koolaid. Of course, rumor is you don't go woke and do what the Sec Def, etc. says. Get early Ret.

I hope at the Platoon & Company level the soldiers don't buy into all this woke, CRT, etc. 💩 … But they may not know any better. High ranking officers should know better …

What would Patton say?
Hell, what would my old Plt Sgt or 1SG say !??! A lot like what Patton would say, I'm sure. Starting with WDF !?!?!?!?!?! 🤬😡😠😡🤬

Doesn't name, rank, and serial number already have this covered.

Hopefully the inclusion will not extend to our enemies in an effort to improve diversity.

This is why the U.S. military can't recruit. The people who are most likely to serve are the least likely to buy into the woke nonsense.

Relating this to a previous post about the PRC rising, and an article in Proceedings regarding training, I'm curious if US forces (USN and USAF in particular) are mentally ready for a shooting war if it comes? Ground forces that went to A'stan and Iraq are probably more hardened but are sailors ready to see ships blow up, shipmates burn, etc? Could the PRC inflict enough of a shock to US forces to cause them to pause enough to never regain the initiative?

Thresher0101 Sep 2022 3:33 p.m. PST

Dog whistle signaling to our enemies that "we" are no longer focused on winning wars, or even fighting them?

On other fronts, supposedly some of the Pentagon brass are upset our 155mm howitzer ammo stocks have been depleted so seriously as to hinder our ability to wage war.

A cynic like me would think this is not by accident, but is ……………

SBminisguy01 Sep 2022 4:10 p.m. PST

Could the PRC inflict enough of a shock to US forces to cause them to pause enough to never regain the initiative?

I bet that's China's plan.

I've read some articles by Chinese leaders and officers in which they say that Japan had the right idea, but didn't go far enough -- Japan left CONUS alone and that allowed the US to recover and rebuild, and take the offensive. So they would do their own "Pearl Harbor" using every means they have short of WMD.

If things go hot they'd launch a full spectrum attack on the US to crash our national telecoms and electrical grids (and anything else connected to the internet), along with economic warfare to dump the dollar, demand debt payment, scramble the stock market, etc., accompanied by physical sabotage in CONUS. And they would accompany this by an all out conventional missile strike to flatten Guam, while using their DF-21s on any US Carrier groups at sea, along with other strikes.

They may attempt to do the same thing to Japan and Taiwan at the same time, or, if the US is in chaos, threaten them with action and demand compliance with Chinese leadership.

Utter nonsense from a country that now consistently pukes forth total illogical and meaningless concepts.
ALSO, I now believe that anyone who hands their Childrens minds over to these deranged people have sacrificed their children.

SO, best to refer to me with my given name or an acceptable historical masculine title or I will be offended!

I have never minded what someone called me. Dude or Bro, Mate, Pal… fine… Son, Dad, ok. Darlin' or Hon'… well, OK from a female.! I did find Bud / Buddy a bit strange… until realising that for a young ex-army lad, it had become normal…even in UK usage.
Myself, I don't mind the 'unprintables'!!!

As NE UK…'Pet' has always been in usual use for M-F, F-M. NOW, 'some' females take exception. Well…up to them… but if they do… they would not want to hear the unspoken thoughts of such! lol.

That means a whole lotta curse words can't be used now, since they reference anatomy/gender/sexuality… ;-)

raylev301 Sep 2022 9:29 p.m. PST

The source is the "Washington Free Beacon." Really?

It can't even provide a link to the original document, only a partial that it obtained.

And it's an email without saying who wrote it and to whom it went -- hardly makes it official. After searching google the ONLY other sources for this are (very) conservative online sources; oh, and the Russian mouthpiece, RT. And they ALL site the "Washington Free Beacon" as their source. In the intelligence business we call this circular reporting.

Could be true, but I'm not going to get my panties in a wad until there's a link to an actual document. Too much "interpretation" going around…

While I believe there's too much "woke" going around, and liberals are prone to "feel good" messaging that has zero concrete results, I'll wait for access to complete facts.

America really, really despises its children.
If there's one thing I've heard over and over this week it's how the current generation is a bunch of worthless, lazy, entitled, gender-confused wimps who don't produce anything of value.
All you have do is look at the responses on my various timelines to see just how much contempt Americans, and Conservatives in particular, apparently have for their kids.
Brainwashed moochers with no respect for their elders (can't imagine why) seems to be the general consensus.
And apparently, it's all the fault of schools.
Social Media has been shouting "Education not Indoctrination!" at me for three days now.
Heck, a local politician ran for the local schoolboard on that very phrase.
Education. Not Indoctrination.
Weird how a bunch of people who consider themselves NOT indoctrinated all chant the exact same words as if they're in a cult though, isn't it?
Catchy phrase, I guess, but what do Americans think they actually mean by it? Indoctrination? Education? Define both in this context. Go on.
No?
No, I guess not.
A lot of Americans seem to think the only courses of study offered nowadays are "gender studies," "CRT," and "wokeness."
Lot of responses on my timelines said any degree program other than "STEM" is worthless woke indoctrination.
STEM. Science, technology, engineering, and … math?
Math?
Science?
When science tells them they are wrong, suddenly they don't believe in any of THAT anymore either and you don't have to look beyond the most recent pandemic and a public cheering a president telling them ignore science and medicine and the experts and believe in hysterical conspiracy theories.
Science? LOL. Come ON.
Last year about 3 million undergraduate degrees were awarded in the US.
Of those, less than 0.4% were in some variation of cultural and gender studies.
Less than 0.4%.
Hardly a tsunami of wokeness there.
And, hey, what do you even do with a Gender Studies major anyway?
Well, funny thing, a lot of the people with those degrees also got LAW degrees and are now lawyers, judges, magistrates, and judicial workers.
Seems understanding people makes them better at their job.
Many become managers, social workers, human resource specialists, doctors, nurses, teachers. Some even join the military.
Professionals with an in-depth understanding of how people fit together in large groups? That's important to making a lot of organizations work better.
Lot of Americans mad about pronouns.
Mad that other people don't identify the way they think is right.
Mad the world isn't as simple as black and white, male and female, right and wrong. Human beings are COMPLICATED and so how do you know what is right?
How do you know if you don't study it? If your society doesn't develop experts? Actually KNOW?
Unless you don't WANT to know.
Unless you're AFRAID to know.
Afraid to find out that maybe the things you were raised to believe are incomplete, biased, or just plain wrong.
Once upon a time here in America it was morally, ethically, economically, socially, religiously, and scientifically right to own other people and force them to work in the fields. Kill them, rape them, beat them, and breed them like livestock.
Why isn't it now?
What changed?
No. Don't look away. Don't wave your arms. Really, what changed? How did it change? How does it affect us today -- do you know? Can you see the lingering consequences of that time all around you, in science, in religion, the buildings, in our culture?
What changed? How do you know? If someone doesn't study it? If there aren't experts?
What is it you really fear?
Change?
History?
The unknown?
Or is your fear that your kids might one day be better people than you were?
There's nothing wrong with this generation.
Sure, they expect things. They feel entitled.
And why shouldn't they? YOU promised them a better world. YOU told them they were special, exceptional. Right? God's chosen people, wasn't it?
Remember?
They don't respect you?
Why should they? You keep telling them they're garbage. Stupid. Worthless. Weak. Woke. And that they should be little carbon copies of you.
Instead of giving them wings, you tell them what they CAN'T be.
Why the hell should they respect you?
You tell them how great your generation was. Make America great again, right?
Great how? Kids working barefoot among the factory machines? Dead at 40 from black lung in the mines? Company town? Lynchings? Segregation? War? Stand for the flag, kneel before your God? That kind of great?
We tell them how great things were. So great, back in our day.
And then, in the very next breath, we complain bitterly about how bad we had it, up hill, both ways, in the snow, and Bleeped text you kids don't know what it was like!
Now, respect us, you stupid weak losers!
You ever wonder how our world looks to the current generation?
That time you remember as so great?
No, you don't wonder. You just turn your nose up in a sneer at these worthless woke kids nowadays. Don't pretend that you don't, because your contempt is right here out in the open.
Entitled?
Why not?
We made a lot of promises, expressed and implied, to the current generation.
And in case you haven't noticed, they've been stepping up for the last decade, fighting those wars we started, paying back their country, and paying it forward.
There's song, from our generation. Maybe you remember it? David Bowie.
"And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their worlds
Are immune to your consultations
They're quite aware of what they're goin' through"
And the more things change, right?
You want a better nation? You got to be better citizens.
And if you won't, they will.
In spite of you.

If it came down to it, you'd use their rank. Which I and others I know have done. Way before there was a pronoun "thing". E.g. Yes, Captain, Major, etc. But this woke or whatever those pushing this narrative/agenda really is about I think will be an anomaly as time goes on.

I see this whole woke(?), CRT(?), etc. thing is a very vocal aggressive minority agenda. Most in America don't buy into or really care AFAIK. I don't know the percentage, but it can't be that large. Most people are concerned about the economy & security. The rest is generally a sidebar by the majority from the heartland/middle America, etc. But what do I know ? I'm an old white man/Vet with an AR-15, so I must and those like are said by some to be the problem … Go figure ! 😎

As I suspected, this was a social media post or email among friends that someone blew out of proportion and the Washington Free Bacon ran with it.

I just watched Republican Senator Josh Hawley quiz the Air Force about this in front of committee and the Air Force confirmed it was NOT AF policy, even at the Air Force Base cited by the Washington Free Bacon. It was an individual's comments. Heck, it's hard enough to fight leftist propaganda when we do stuff like this.

I'm amazed at how many people on social media run with this stuff just because it fits their existing narrative. In this case it happened to be conservative, but the left does the same…tell me what I want to hear, and I'll believe it. It's also amazing how many other "news" sources ran with the story citing the Washington Free Bacon.

Machinehead – thank you for giving us this viewpoint.

I work at a college where the pronoun thing has driven me a little nuts at my age. However, I have had nothing but tolerance and positive support from students and staff in my attempts. There is no mandate, no cunning plot, no cult. It could die out, some of it may stick. I think it is crazy, but no one is forcing me to do anything. There are no consequences when I forget to do it. And a whole lot of people forget to do it. Not much of a revolution.

I am fortunate to see some of the future unfolding. The young people I know and serve work with tech, data, STEM, history, the arts, and have majors like medical robotics, environmental agriculture, energy management. They can tell you the truth and back it up.

I have said it before, they do not care about old guy politics. They know their turn is coming. I think we say a lot of things on the forum because we are concerned about change. We don't always have the full story and there is a lot of venting.

Our core beliefs are nearly the same, I think. We are caught up in an era of manipulation of differences by selfish power seekers. They say anything that keeps them front and center. When I say this, most of us think I could not possibly be talking about their side.

So the Air Force doesn't make anyone use the weird pronoun thing. This appears to be a fact. Thank you OC. There is probably not much data on the impact of the whole thing. We all can see some potential situational consequences of it in the military. Not good. You think we can't resolve this except with outrage?

If you ever get a chance to check out Jim Wright and Stone Kettle, I recommend it. For most here, it's an alternative point of view. Some fine writing though, and a dose of common sense.

Legion, you are right. We are dealing with a couple of aggressive minorities. The rest of us are not nearly as divided as we have been led to believe. We need to understand that outrage means money and power for the real con artists in our culture.

Myself… have always preferred to being addressed by Surname, rather than Forename… but that is just me… and others want the 'friendly' thing.

Work… I was once sent for an 'Assertiveness' course. it did not make me 'Assertive'! Just realised that managers had been 'on a course' to appear 'friendly'! Everybody 'Happy Clapping'! I just became MORE cynical! I had not been so cynical before.

I only wanted to do my job! I Hated being spoken to without need… the "Good Morning, *****, How are you?" stuff. Others, esp. females, wanted to feel 'included'/ 'embraced'. Not Me.

I agree, I thought with all the new younger men & women in Congress a few years back may have been a good thing. However, many were "woke, CRT, leftist, progressive socialist Green zealots". Fortunately, there were some other younger ones in Congress to balance the "socialists, etc." machinations.

You will never see a limit on the age to be POTUS or in Congress. They'd have to vote on it, and they don't want to get off the "gravy train" and line their pockets. 💰💰💰💰💰
