I have been working through the lead pile and came across some 28mm Western figures, so a game was called for. I dusted off my 1970's Old west rules and created a background for the fictional town of De Lancy. An AAR is on my blog and the back story is in a previous post.

It sounds kind of like the old Boot Hill rules where you had personal speed, weapon speed, etc. to determine who got the first shot, and then who fired next.

A great report, thanks.

The Old West rules were the first set of skirmish rules and certainly the first I bought. I played them a lot back in the 1970's and despite their age I still think they give a great game.
