Several NASHCONs ago,the late (and very great) Gavin Gossett graciously provided me with his wonderful 2-page rule set for his Old West game, Gunza Blazin'.
On the rules he gave me, it listed a website (no longer operational) and indications the materials were copyrighted.
I never discussed with him whether or not this was a commercial venture, and what the legal ownership of the rules/cards were. I am hoping someone who was close to him knows more about this.
Let me clarify that I am not attempting to market Gavin's game. But I would like to have professional rules and cards printed up to GIVE away to fellow enthusiasts.
Gavin was one of the funniest, most generous and gracious people I have ever met; so I seriously doubt he would have minded me promoting his game. But I would feel better in doing so, if I knew I wouldn't be offending his heirs or trampling on any copyright infringement.
Thanks for any help in this matter.
Just a quick memory before closing this post. Upon initially meeting Gavin, he introduced himself as the model for Bob's Big Boy. Those of you who knew Gavin know what he was talking about, lol.
