"Javelin hits Russian tank" Topic

Ukrainian Armed Forces said they destroyed a Russian tank in Kharkiv Oblast using a Javelin missile, in dramatic video posted on August 6.

A lot of that has been going for a few months … And the Russians just keep coming albeit at a snail's pace currently.

I've seen too many videos/photos of Russian AFVs of all types. With their turrets blown off, burned orange from fire, all rubber melted, etc. I doubt many got out of those AFVs …

Something seems a bit odd about this. A lone Russian vehicle, stopped, smoking, in a field covered with shell holes, no sign of anyone or anything else in the vicinity. Staged?

Not staged. If an abandoned, intact tank full of ammo was recoverable, the UA would grab it. Agree it's unlikely the crew had time to bail. Also, these videos are usually edited weirdly so there's stuff we don't see.

Looks like smoke coming from the commander hatch I tend to agree with Mollinary that it was hit earlier and then the ammo cooked off I'd be surprised if the crew were still in it with that much smoke.

True but unlikely that a Javelin would kill/ko all 3 of the crew, if the Ukrainian army wouldn't edit these videos so much would be easier to say.
