Great job. I picked up a few figs just to see what they looked like. They are great sculpts, but thete is no way you can put them with historical figures.

I like the game but appreciate that its not for everyone.
Like a modernised, and more streamlined evolution of warhammer.

I bought the figures just for the figures. I'm not sure that I have any interest in the rules.

I really like the game- its single handily revived my interest in wargaming

Excellent news then. "Armies in a box" have been a shot in the arm for the toy soldier hobby.

I have been buying them since the original Kickstarter. Yup. Love the figures but they are a separate and distinct hobby from my regular gaming. I have noticed though that here and there a box creeps downward in scale.

Legend of Doom15 Aug 2022 9:44 a.m. PST

There have been some interesting new figures however, I feel that they are a little too beholding to historical tropes.

I still have the Karstark spearmen, Tully Cavaliers and another box of Stark Bowmen however, I may have reached a hitch: my regular opponant has lost interest in the rules he is a skirmish gamer and issues of facing and manovure do not float his boat. There are some other issues, I think he dislikes all the reading you have to do. So, I am now without an opponant….
I always seem to struggle to find players, I have no idea what it is that I am doing wrong

Hay legend of doom if you have enough for both side and are willing to teach the rules and have tea I'll give you a game or two i live in Hackney and willing to travel.
If not no worry's if we play and you don't like the cut of my jib again no worry's.

I haven't played a "big battles" type game since the early 90s but am always up for something new.

I have similar hosting issues.
So their is Dark sphere in Shepherd's bush which charge's £4.00 GBP pre a person for a 6/4 table and is open 7 days a week.
Or HATE (hackney area tabletop enthusiasts)
Who are open on wed &sun
Which is in bethnal green.
I have never been, maybe if you do Facebook you could talk to them?
They do tables at £2.00 GBP no scenery and £5.00 GBP with.
Wens is for adult's
Sun is family ferndly which sounds a bit grim and not the best environment to teach.
