My personal, and honest view, of Soldiers of Napoleon after three gaming sessions – warts and all.

Thanks for the review. I have been having a very hard time finding these rules for sale in the USA. Perhaps someone on TMP here might tell me where the purchased their comps in the USA. I know you are in the UK.

Your right up gives me a good feeling about the rules. Hopefully soon I will have a copy.

It sounds like an interesting rules set, mate, and was another good review.

Cheers.

Excellent review, eagerly awaiting my set to arrive from Gripping Beast to the land of OZ. And many thanks for your rules clarifications.

There's also Soldiers of God (Crusades) but they're out of

Have played these rules three times now and I must say I really like them. It's like Command and Colors with more options. Going to look into his other rules.

I'd have to play them to see what I think. The hand of cards aspect is a little off-putting to me.

Olicana:

Thanks for the review. I know this thread is old, but the rules only just hit my hobby shop. I personally like card driven games like C&C, Maurice, etc…

Unlike most rule reviews, you actually comment on them after playing several times. That is what makes your thoughts valuable.

May pull the trigger on this one, though I am drowning in Nap rules. Ticks a lot of boxes for me.

We have been playing SoN since Dec 2022, we love the game. Must agree it is not the best multiplayer game system. Once the "action" starts we find the players not fighting in the main battle get ignored by the cards? It is an awesome 1 on 1 game system. We are playing a Spain 1811 game this weekend. There is an active SoN face book page. Search "Soldiers of" on FB. The FB covers SoN, Soldiers of Tome and the latest Soldiers of God rules… 😀
