I would not name anything after Sherman in Georgia or the Carolinas. Somewhere else, perhaps. But then again, the person that suggested Sherman probably did not have his family farm burnt down by Federal troops. |

Agree mildbill, there is no sense in that, and besides, I want to honor the courage of soldiers in the field instead of generals. It promotes awareness of courage and sacrifice for people serving in these installations. Not much inspiration in a lot of the old names. |

Camp Breckinridge, KY, could be renamed Camp Crittenden, then you could have it either way, as there was a General Crittenden on both sides. |
