I went looking for the Naps Battles web site and got this link "Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to napoleonsbattles.org. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details." Anyone know what this is about? |

Happens all the time. It's an odd week if I don't run into that somewhere. I've said some harsh things about Napoleon's Battles, but I don't think it's actually dangerous unless you already suffer from high blood pressure. |

Probably not anything malicious – usually happens when they don't keep their web site up to date – may just be http instead of https John |

I get stuff like that sometimes. I have just used a different computer before and I went right to the site without getting any warning. |

I have been on the site but it has been a year or more ago. I got the same warning from FireFox just now. My anti virus software considers it trustworthy. Who knows? I have no reason to test it out. Good Luck! |

Its unlikely there will be any major risk. I suspect the cause is due to an out of data security certificate. When you are in the site just make certain the URL is correct. napoleonsbattles.org |

This is what my anti-virus message says – so definitely looks like out of date certificate: Visiting an untrustworthy website has been prevented One or more of this website's certificates are invalid, so we can't guarantee its authenticity. This happens when the website's owner hasn't updated the certificate in time, or if it's a fake site created by scammers. Visiting a website like this makes you more vulnerable to attack. You were protected from visiting this website by Kaspersky security. You can close this window with no risk. Yep, its no big deal, its perfectly safe but all the security stuff is way out of date. The group that own the site has been inactive for too long. The site is now old and there have been no updates for many years. Better place to go for NB coverage is the IO Group. Lots of useful resources. NB 4 has actually evolved into a really smooth, well polished, "big battle" set of army level rules. |

Had similar message from Rapier Miniatures site when I was looking for some 6mm figures. Went ahead anyway and no problems ( so far!) |

Thanks for all the advice. I will follow what nsolomon99 says, if only I knew what IO Group is and where. |
