Rob Gravener and I dusted off our 28mm American Civil War and played a game at Dragon's Lair – San Antonio, Texas on Friday night.

We hadn't played in over 3+ years, so this game was really about dusting off the troops, opening the rule book (Regimental Fire & Fury) and re-learning the mechanics of the game.

We both took two brigades (4 regiments each) and a battery just to get the cobwebs out and get back the game sequence of play. We finished 4 turns and after many book readings and searching were able to get back the flavor of the game.

We plan to play a lot more in the future – although Fire & Fury has a number of flaws it plays relatively well and not very complicated.

Well apparently you have at least 143 other published options according to an earlier thread today. Nice pics. Thanks for sharing.

What size stands are you using for the 28s?
