"Don Troiani has long been one of the most recognizable names in modern artwork depicting American Civil War scenes, including battle actions and uniform studies. He is known for his meticulous research, attention to detail, and vivid images. He bases many of his paintings on artifacts and relics, particularly weapons and accouterments, from his personal collection. He makes extensive use of models who pose for key elements of the depictions. Troiani prints grace the homes and offices of thousands of Civil War collectors and buffs, and many pieces hold their value on the secondary market and are highly collectible.

But, did you know that Troiani is also noted for his equally impressive artwork depicting scenes and soldiers from the American Revolution? Now, in partnership with the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia, Troiani has issued a fine new book titled Liberty: Don Troiani's Paintings of the Revolutionary War (Stackpole Books, October 2021)…"

I already have this. It would be nice to see something recently released or coming out in the near future.

Lousy PR, but potentially a good book. I would like to see a review from someone who has bought the book.

I gifted myself with it last Christmas. It is not expensive and a good read. Many of the paintings were familiar already, but there were some new to me.

I saw his exhibition at the Museum of the American Revolution. This is essentially the exhibit catalog. At $30 USD it was inexpensive for a HB. It has a lot of background information on the paintings and Troiani's collection of AWI artifacts, which are often used in the paintings. Well worth it.

For many years Don Troiani painting AWI subjects.

I have a good friend who was a model for him and one of his most recognized works was turned into a popular poster we called "seven views of X".

He's been painting AWI for a LONG time…

I agree with BillN.

This is the first time I've heard of such a book.

I recommend taking a look. I met her while helping my son research Revolutionary War, and the book essentially serves as a catalog for an exhibition of Troiani's work at the Museum of the American Revolution. The deadlines were running out, and then, on the advice of friends, he turned to the essay writing service. If I'm not mistaken, these were edusson.com/research-paper-writing-service and I have no complaints about them, but I still bought the book and forced my son to read it. He said that the author was dedicated to changing the modern understanding of what the Revolutionary War looked like, and he succeeded based on eloquent stories over dinner. So I can safely recommend it.

It's a book well-worth having.
