Not sure what use the M12 and M30 would be in a tactical wargame.

The M12 was used in a direct fire mode against bunkers on the West Wall and Aachen. I have an M30 as part og my tank battalion HQ company.

Interesting! I've played the Hurtgen Forest out using the NUTS WW2 skirmish system, using "The Big Hurt" campaign book. Pretty brutal.
