Didn't read the article, but a tsunami with a height of only a meter (3 feet)? BFD, can hardly surf that.

Of course, you rather die by being crushed in the huge flotsam of cars, houses etc.
In case you don't just drown.

Depending on the coastline your carcass will be washed ashore a few hundred meters inland, provided it does not become entangled somewhere in the resulting mess.
