I took the russian army for display at our gaming club this weekend, for a hobby contest, and posted some pics on my blog:

Certainly got the 'quantity' right.

Hmmm…Tau versus Russian Napoleonic army. My money is on the Russians kicking Tau butt. grin

Cool photos from the display. An eclectic mix of genres and miniatures.

Great looking collection, for your batteries Empire uses 1 artilleryman to count for gun so my batteries have 12 figures and 4 gun models, wondering how your system accounts for it.
Often say 1/72 is way to go if starting out

Wonderful. If I was to start over again, I think I'd go the 1/72 route.

Really fab Mateus. Could we have some close ups of the Hussars sometime, I think I missed them before.

Terrific in all respects.

14Bore, not sure if I understood you question, but I usually go with 3 guns to represent each battery in Black Powder – for the Russians, I use 4 guns each, as their batteries were larger.

Thanks, Timbo W. Here's the link to the blog posts of those units:

Thanks for the links Matteus, the Hussars are really top notch. Do you do the braids etc in orange first then highlight with yellow?

Timbo W, I use a layer of dark yellow, then a coat of wash (usually Citadel Seraphim Sephia), then highlight with light yellow. I find that this combination gives a level of contrast and depth I'm happy with.

My batteries have 12 men on 4 stands, 2 figures on 2 different stands and 4 figures on 2 other stands. This gives me the option of making 6 gun 1/2 batteries. A couple at Borodino only had 1/2 batteries ( 1st Position and 4th light)

Fantastic 1/72 goodness
