Can anyone pass comment on the sizing of Pendraken line of early Post-War vehicles or know of any scale comparison photos on the web? My understanding is its 1:160 and I'm wondering how they'd sit with my 1:144 T-55 and M48s, before I start ordering 1:144 3D prints.

We scale our vehicles to 1:150th so they won't be far off any 1:144th models you've got.

Yea, the differences between 1/144th and 1/150th usually works out to about 1mm – 2mms, depending upon the vehicle sizes and length/width.

Red3 also offers some very nice stuff, though generally they are more expensive than Pendraken.

Arrowhead makes true 1/144th scale minis, but are also more expensive than the other two companies mentioned.

I generally try to avoid 3D prints for all but the rarest of items, since costs are frequently high and quality is frequently less than those produced via more traditional means.

The exceptions to that are from Kamiya sold on eBay, and PanzerModels sold out of the Netherlands. Their prints are superb, but prices are on the higher end of the scale.

An update, which people may find useful. Bit the bullet and purchased a 3D printed 1:144 T-55 and a Pendraken one. Unassembled the difference in size looks fairly negligible (1-2 mm). Stylistically they are different. The printed tracks are very taut and the sculpted ones, a little more realistically, less so!

Also picked up some Pendraken infantry which scale well with my Minifigs and Arrowhead miniatures. None of the aforementioned scale quite as well with the Victrix WWII British plastics I've got which are more realistically proportioned, but in reality look rather delicate IMO.

The print was from Butler's, I also picked up 2 BTR-60P, a couple of ZPU AA guns and some vehicle mounted HMGs. All where resins prints. Can't really fault them. Very obviously printed. The T-55 was a little pricy IMO, the BTRs more reasonable.

Though after going to all that trouble I've decided to consolidate in 15mm and will have to let my 1:144 collection go ….. after I spent rather a lot on eBay and told my better half I'd recoup by selling other parts of my collection! Apologies to all 10mm/12mm suppliers.

I might be interested in some of your 1/144th scale minis, depending upon what you have for sale, condition, and price.

For info I'm UK-based, internal postage is bad enough, and insaner abroad atm. I usually sell on eBay, but its the School holidays some I'm unlikely to get to it any time soon. But if there are members interested I may go for a membership and put it on the market place.

I have two big boxes of new toys in my hall asking to be unpacked……
