Never had these when I was in the Scouts. I don't think the Hitler Youth comparison is apt. Wonder what happened to the originals maybe sold to Putin.

At least in the 1950s there were a lot that laconically commented that only the flag, uniform and songbook had been changed.
Some of them were former National Socialists.
They were even very fond of it.

These toy tanks were built in the training workshop at the sponsor company, VEB Agrochemie Piesteritz.
As far as it is known they were presumably lost with the liquidation of the company.
Rumour has it, they could fire gun rounds.
The turret could probably not move.
