Apart from peacekeeping in the Sinai, what conflicts were you going to use them for? |

What scale, Jon? 15mm or smaller and the differences in the cut of the uniform won't matter much. Larger figures and the greens, boots and webbing will be issues. The mix of weapons is British (SLR, L4A4 Bren and MAG-58) and US (M-60, M-16, M-203, M-26-always in the pouch, never worn on the belt or pouches- and M-72), so you may have to mix Brit and US figures. Also we usually wore the bush hat ( link ) rather than the US M-1 helmet, and our helmets were generally heavily-scrimmed, like the British ones were. There's some reasonable photos on the net ( link ). |

I was looking at using them for cold world gets hot. 10/12mm I was thinking about using Vietnam era miniatures, which would give the US/UK weapons mix and most are in "boonie/giggle" hat. cheers jon |

VN mini's would work, Jon, but for conventional warfare the helmets would probably be worn. We didn't wear them in the jay because they were too noisy, too hot and the risk of head injuries by shrapnel were historically low in Malaysia, Borneo and VN. In a conventional war setting they'd be worn because artillery would be a given threat. Not sure if anyone does pre-1990 diggers in helmet, though at 10/12mm a mix of US and UK troops could work. |
