No, but it looks interesting. The PDF is much more reasonable than I recall, which is nice. Would love some of those minis. |

I posted a question to the person running the KS, to see if it is still possible to get the rules PDF and minis. Will post more info if/once I receive a reply. |

Glad to see this making a comeback. I own two original copies. This game inspired me to modify GQI & GQII to a hex based system. Have had lots of fun with it over the years. Always hoped they would put out the Guadalcanal Campaign ships. |

Got a reply, and it is not good news. Can't get stuff now, but perhaps the items will be made available in the future. I need to follow up to see if at least the PDF rules might be able to be purchased now, but given the above message, I'm not too hopeful about that either. Would like to know what people think of the rules? I suppose I can always use the olde GQ1 and GQ2 in the interim, instead. |

I wouldn't worry much about the rules, given the huge selection of naval gaming and naval campaign rules available these days. Also, the models were nice, but Figurehead 1/6000 is more or less equivalent IMHO (I own extensive examples of both). |

Are the C-in-C models no longer available – did they stop trading? |

Also, wrong period I know, but one naval game I'd like to see resurrected is Seastrike. |

CinC was sold/moved to a company/location in Canada. Not sure if the ships are still available for sale direct from them, so would appreciate more info on that. I got a reply on the PDF. No longer available, sadly. Apparently, the deal from the owner/writer was that it was only for the Kickstarter and nothing else. The person did mention they might consider seeing about a release in the future, but that doesn't sound very promising to me. So, best bets for rules are to use Mal Wright's rules for Arctic Convoys – available in one of the Facebook Naval Miniature Rules sites in the Files section for free, or go with GQ1 and GQ2, or GQ3 and just use them for your games, instead. Sorry, even much larger, 1/6000th scale escorts are a bit too small for my liking, so WWII vessels which are even smaller are a no go for me. 1/2400th may have to work in the interim, if I can't get the 1/4800th ones. Some people also use 1/3000th scale minis, but that seems to be primarily a scale used by those over in Europe, more than here in the USA. |

I inquired again about this, but didn't receive an answer, which is a shame. Would love some of the minis. I can make do with the old GQ1 and 2 rules, as well as others, I suppose. |

Late to the party, but posting for future Googlers: The original 1/4800 miniatures are still listed on the CinC web site, so should still be available. I've successfully ordered from CinC a few times since most of the lines were sold off to Legions IV Hire. After Randy moved, he had a really hard time getting the casting operation up and running again, but he clearly means to keep going with the few items left on the CinC web site, and I did eventually get what I ordered. Also note that there is a whole world of 1/4800 naval miniatures available from Shapeways now: There's more, just spend some time modifying the Shapeways search parameters. If you want to build out a 1/4800 WWII naval collection, you can do it, with or without CinC. If you need inspiration, just go look at this 2015 thread full of very impressive photos. That post almost made me start WWII naval over in a second scale. I'm glad I resisted, but… holy cow! - Ix |
