Joe,

Photos "…taken by an He-111 crew member…" and "…from my personal collection…to recreate the battle." You are such a fruit nut!!! But I love it!!! Never dry, always interesting, and always entertaining, I love your batreps and appreciate all the work you put into them.

Very cool fight, a French counterattack supported by armor, to include the dreaded Car B, though it certainly didn't have an outsized impact on the fight, and the poor little Renaults, well… they get a participation trophy, I guess ;)

As usual, it was down to the grunts, and they certainly fought their asses off! The most interesting aspect, or at least event, of the fight was ze Capitan relieving Lt Bouchard and placing the newbie Valentin over two platoons (admittedly, he had a great day, but let's please remember he's an officer and so he's sure to let you down tomorrow or the day after).

The Stug getting ‘tracked' didn't bother me; understanding the model represents several vehicles, to me it simply meant the section/platoon couldn't get where it wanted to because the path was obstructed by rubble, or even the rubble had sealed them into place until engineers could come up and remove enough debris to free them. It all works (in terms of gaming mechanisms), I think.

Your guys sure do fight to lots of draws, though! ;) I think the fight was going too well (despite being very bitterly fought at the edge of town) and so you got self conscious because you know the French are ultimately doomed in May 1940. Or you realized the Germans hadn't committed much yet in terms of forces (particularly infantry) and you wanted to keep the French from getting completely slaughtered! ;)

In any case, absolutely fantastic, can't wait for the next one. Thanks again for posting, buddy.

V/R,
Jack
