Looks like Drums on the Rapids in Toledo, Ohio is this weekend. Is there a list of games being played? Times? |

Hey Todd, Speaking unofficially, yes, the Fort Meigs event is happening this weekend. Both Friday and Saturday. It is running from 9a-8p each day. 3, 3 hour sessions each day. 9-12, 1-4, 5-8. I do not have a current event listing, I was going to run games, but I got hit by Covid again. So I out. Doing fine though. Dave |

There is a PEL in the newsletter, and there is one on Facebook. If no one can help you out, I will see if I can copy it tomorrow. |

I will post the final PEL tomorrow on the Fort Meigs webpage. (www.fortmeigs.org) Since this is a Great Lakes event, the early information is posted on the GL FB page. After running for 22 years on the same date, (Armed Forces Day) I forget that people do need to be reminded. |

Just an FYI, there area few of us here and there who do not use facebook or other social media and would appreciate the information posted here, or on the Great lakes website or the Fort Meigs website. thank you, -clark |

In this social media swamp, one is never quite sure how best to reach fellow gamers. Since it's a GL event my first move is to post it in our newsletter, The Herald. In order to inform others, I needed to coordinate with the web person in charge of media at the fort. Unfortunately due to recent staff changes that position was in limbo during our pre-game warm-up. By our next event "The World at War" (first Saturday in November), these hurdles will be behind us. I apologize for any lack of clarity concerning our conference. If you need a miniatures gaming fix I do run a monthly game day at the fort now. Second Sunday offers four historical miniatures games in addition to some simple games for the kids to help them with their counting and sportsmanship skills. |
